In late March 2022 the entire remaining supply of craft VH3 beer was taken from Boomerang's SUV on his Roche Cove run 819.

The following photos are of an empty silver can, identical to the unique cans used by the VH3, and only provided by the U-brew that had gone out of business before Boomerang March hash.  The can was found only a few days before Boomerang 'Spring Flowers' run, almost a year after the orginal theft.  It was sitting on the rim of a City of Victoria garbage can at the bus stop on Douglas street outside the Times Colonist Press Building, and contained a small amount of beer that was identical to the colour of the beer last brewed by Premature Evacuation (our Beermeister).  The remaining single U-brew in the region, Island Brew BYou, does not supply cans or canning equipment.

With the loss of access to a U-brew that provides canned beer, the VH3 and DSoM hashes raised their prices 100%/75% to accommodate the purchase of considerably more expensive, mass-produced, commercial beer, abandoning our own craft beer.  Though switching to commercial suppliers was inevitable, the lost of our cooler and the last remaining Hash craft beer, made by the hands of a named hasher rather than by faceless corporations, was a final insult to a tradition of hashing that had carried on in Victoria for decades.
